Cooper’s Landing Galveston
Cooper’s Landing in Galveston is the latest addition to the island’s west end and is getting some recognition as a fine dining experience where it is okay to be casual too.

If you ever visited the old Michael Burger Cafe in this location, you’ll notice the surprising transformation right away. From burger joint to upscale dining with a full bar and wine menu – that’s no easy task.
Coopers Landing has been open for a couple of months now and from the customer reviews, it seems the restaurant is still working to fully train new staff. For the most part, patrons seem to be tolerant of the occasional oversight.
The best advice is to go during the day as it seems to get busy for dinner. Indoor dining can loud in the evening too, so plan to dine outside on the deck if that bothers you.

The restaurant offers a full lunch menu as well as a separate dinner menu. They offer a full bar with specialty cocktails and a nice selection on the wine menu. When you just want a bit without the full meal, maybe a cocktail and an appetizer is the perfect solution. If you aren’t sure what to try, we hear the Spinach Artichoke Fondue is really good served with tortilla chips. If you like Ceviche, try it on the Tostados!
Ask about the Soup of the Day or try the Warm Spinach Salad for a lighter fare.

Updated May 13, 2022 – Recently saw the “Now Hiring” sign back up at Coopers Landing in Galveston! If you are looking for a server position, they may be accepting applications again.
Updated April 16, 2022 – The restaurant reports they are fully staffed, and by all accounts they are serving happy customers!

Sunday – Thursday – Open 11am until 9pm

March 5, 2022: The new restaurant is expecting to open within the next few weeks and is actively seeking applications for employment.
