Learn about the history of Galveston Island’s Strand area from an official tour guide of Galveston Historical Foundation! These authorized Strand walking tours highlight the stories, history, and architecture of the district. The Strand, Galveston’s earliest commercial center, is one of the island’s most identifiable historic areas with numerous pre-1900 buildings featured. Tours will last approximately one hour and are limited to 16 people per tour.
PLEASE MEET 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE START OF YOUR TOUR AT THE FOUNTAIN IN HENDLEY GREEN.
Tickets are non-refundable and do not include admission to the daily Galveston Historic Homes Tour. Minors are allowed to accompany a paying adult. Tickets are only available in advance online and walk-up tickets will not be available.
