The Toughest 10K Galveston starts at the Galveston County Daily News office and the course takes runners northbound over the causeway bridge before exiting at Tiki Island and heading back the other way.
Race Start Time: 7:30 AM
Time Limit: 2 hours (strictly enforced*)
USATF Certification: TX11142ETM
The race will be chip timed.
*Time limit is strictly enforced! Bridge races involve special permission and cooperation by local authorities, police and emergency response, and impact motor vehicle traffic. In order to keep doing these races we must comply with the limits set by those agencies. Runners who are trailing far behind may not be allowed back on the bridge for their final loop. You will not be allowed back on the Causeway from Tiki past 8:45 AM.
Proceeds from this event benefit The Bridge over Troubled Water.
All finishers will receive a medal.

Course:
Out and back, Start and Finish at the Galveston County Daily News, get on the causeway north bound (against traffic) exit Tiki Island, turn around, back same way.

Directions and Parking:
See SATELLITE PARKING information below and use this provided parking, or park where you can (businesses may tow) except at the Start/Finish, that will be blocked off.
Satellite Parking:

Shuttle Transportation:
Shuttle transportation from the satellite parking lot will be available to transport runners (and family/supporters) to the start/finish line starting at 5:30 AM. Last shuttle leaves at 7:15 AM. Shuttle transportation back to the parking lot will be available after the race start (~7:45 AM).
Car pooling is highly suggested! Please allow yourself ample time to find a parking space and get to the race start area.
Driving Direction from Houston to Satellite Parking:
Take I-45 South. Follow I-45 South onto State Highway 87 N. for 0.1 mile. Turn left onto 59th Street. Continue 0.2 miles to destination on right.
Note: If you are trying to drive to the start/finish line to access donor parking, the exit to Teichman Road/Harborside Drive will close at 6:45 AM.
Bag Drop:
Bag drop is available next to packet pickup.
Replacement Bib/Chip:
If you lose your bib or your chip or you forget them at home there will be a $10 charge to reissue you a new bib or chip.
Race Day Registration
We highly recommend packet pickup be completed on one of the designated days. However, we realized it may be impossible for a few people to pickup their packet at the official times. We will have limited packet pickup the morning of the race.
Race day packet pickup and race day registration (credit card accepted) are available starting at 6AM. Race day registration is available as long as there are slots open. However, you will not be given a shirt until after the race if available.
Water Stations:
Water stations will be on either side of the bridge (before and after the Causeway), but there will be no water stations on the bridge. Port-A-Johns will be at Start/finish and all aid stations.
