Nick’s Seafood in Galveston was rebranded in 2013 from Casey’s Casual Seafood and is currently run by owner and chef Nick Gaido as Nick’s Kitchen and Beach Bar. After all, this location has been a part of the Gaido family for decades and is located right next to the famous Gaido’s Seafood restaurant.

Over 60 years ago, this started out as a local coffee shop. In the mid 1980s’ the name changed to Casey’s (after Casey Gaido) and began serving seafood with the fresh ingredients.

Today Nick’s is known for great seafood dishes, great drinks, a refreshing pool, and an amazing gulf front location right on the seawall.

Everything is made in-house from the sauces and dressings to our fresh daily bread and buns. They even hand cut all of the vegetables for the day, and take pride in serving the highest quality seafood on Galveston Island.

You can’t miss the beachfront location, just look for the giant shrimp. On nice days we suggest dining outside. The patio offers covered or open spaces. Like a lot of Galveston Island, Nick’s is laid back and casual. But the food is anything but casual.

The newest addition to the restaurant is the pool bar where you can enjoy a handmade burger and a cold beer. The beer selection here is excellent. You can usually get a great deal on a lunch special too. Be sure to try the homemade chips!

Nick’s is one place in Galveston where you select your fish, decide how you’d like it prepared, then choose your own sides for a truly customized dinner. If you are looking for something light, you can also customize your own style of salad.

Galveston Island happy hour specials are the best and Nick’s is no exception. Hours are from 3pm to 7pm when you can get half price appetizers and drink specials.

Open daily 11AM – 10PM
