Shrimp ‘N Stuff Downtown in Galveston shares the brand recognition with the first Shrimp ‘N Stuff location as well as some of the SnS standards, but aside from that there is little to compare.
The second location opened in late 2014 with a commitment to honor the former occupant of the space, locally owned Phoenix Bakery. There was a lot of nostalgia and memories that went into the new place.
The menu is slightly different here and while the atmosphere is still casual, everything is presented with more of an upscale appeal. There is no Styrofoam and paper here, you’ll find white tablecloths, custom tableware, and full table-side service. If you are looking for the walk-up window you need to go to the original Avenue O location.
Signature dishes here include broiled versions of your favorite fish like snapper, flounder and salmon. They offer a nice choice of salads as well as traditional choices like crab cake and fish tacos.
You can also get breakfast here on the weekends, open Saturday and Sunday from 10am until Noon for breakfast. You can arrange to have Shrimp N Stuff catering at your wedding, party or business event The catering team promises to work with you to create a menu that fits your taste, budget and style.
From Shrimp N Stuff Downtown Reviews:
“Thanks to Yelp reviewers, I came here for lunch and tried the crab cake sandwich. It’s just as great as they said it would be. I also had a good margarita and delicious key lime pie. Total cost $21 including tax.” “This place was so good, I came back for lunch the next day. Again, the service was fast and friendly. I ordered crab balls and a bowl of chicken/sausage gumbo. Both were outstanding. Total cost $15 including tax. If I lived in Galveston, I would eat here regularly.”
“Grilled Fish tacos with Lemon…. Sure we’re good”
“One of Galveston’s best restaurants. Every dish we have ordered has always been excellent. The desserts are the best so be sure to leave some room.”
“Have been going to Ave. O S&S for years. Downtown S&S is upscale with the same delicious food.”
When there is something for everyone here, it’s hard to figure out your favorite of all seafood restaurants in Galveston.
