Willie G’s is located along Harborside at Pier 21 and offers waterfront views. Two seating options are in the bar area or the elegant dining area. While the restaurant is a chain under the Landry’s brand, it is a local favorite for some. The Galveston location has been open since 1993.
Willie G’s in Galveston offers a full menu as well as an all-day Happy Hour menu with delicious food and drinks with special prices. Be sure to tell the host before you are seated if you are there for the happy hour specials, they are available in certain seating areas of the restaurant.
This is the perfect place for a special dinner or celebration. There is a full bar that includes a decent wine selection, waterfront views, elegant ambiance and attentive servers. You can also dine outside on the patio year round as long as the weather permits. Get there early, or make a reservation if you are there for a sunset view during dinner. You’ll be able to watch the ships coming into the harbor.
No matter what you like to eat, you’ll find something special on the menu. There is a full list of delectable seafood options as well as steak and unique entrees.
If you prefer to sit in the dining area (instead of the bar) you should definitely make reservations ahead of time. Seating is limited and the wait can take an hour or so during the busiest of times. Try a signature cocktail, the lobster bisque, and your favorite fish or steak meal.
The dress code at Willie G’s in Galveston is not very strict, although you want to avoid shorts, flip flops and tank tops at dinner time. You can wear nice jeans and a button shirt for a casual look, but you’ll be just as comfortable if you prefer to dress up a little and celebrate! The view and service will be great either way.
