The Seawall in Galveston is famous for many reasons. It was constructed in the early 1900s to protect from future hurricanes. The street itself is Texas FM Road 3005 and is known as Seawall Boulevard where it runs along the seawall.
 

The sidewalk next to Seawall Blvd on top of the seawall is claimed to be the longest continuous sidewalk in the world at 10.3 miles) long.

It is approximately 17 feet (5.2 m) high and 16 feet (4.9 m) thick at its base.

The seawall is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and designated a National Civil Engineering Landmark.

The menu covers everything from local seafood, delicous salads, and giant mouth-watering burgers. At The Spot, you actually find 5 different venues in one place. The owner started at this restaurant as a bus boy and dishwaher. He also made deliveries, was a cook and a cashier. He has performed every single job in the restaurant, shows up for work even today and has never had any other job. On the menu you will find plenty to choose from in way of appetizers, burgers, seafood entrees, amazing onion rings, a special slaw and waffle fries to go along with just about everything. They also have a nice selection of salads and sandwiches. Don’t forget dessert, they even have a few that are homemade. You’ll also find a very nice selection of beer right on the menu or choose from frozen fruity drinks. Ask the bartender about specials. All there is left to do is catch your favorite game on one of the many inside TVs, or step outside to one of the many decks and enjoy beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico. Whatever you choose, you be happy you did. At Salsa’s has a bright and colorful building with great mexican dishes served with chips and salsa. A few of the more popular dishes are the Red Snapper Del Mar, yummy garlic butter shrimp, as well as the always expected fajitas, combo plates and fish tacos.

A couple of specialties you might like are Stuffed Shrimp Jalapenos, the Chipotle Enchilada, Big Burrito or Messy Nachos appetizers.
